Lane Frost (1963-1989)- Lane Frost was born in Colorado on October 12, 1963. Lane grew up in Lane, Oklahoma. All of Lanes life he had a dream to become a Worlds Champion bull rider. In 1987 Lane's life long dream became a reality. Riding 8 out of 10 bulls Lane Frost was named the 1987 PRCA World Champion Bull Rider. Two years after winning his worlds championship in Cheyenne, Wyoming Lane Got on the bull Taking Care of Business. Lane made a successful ride but after coming off the bull ran over Lane and laid his horn on Lanes back and kinda stumbled at the same time. All the bulls weight went on that one horn. With no vest to protect him a rib broke and punctured his heart. Minutes later he died. Lanes testimony shows that he was saved which means he is in Heaven with Jesus Christ, and I just wanted to say anyone who has seen the movie 8 seconds, I have had the privilege to meet Lanes father Clyde Frost. 8 seconds makes Clyde out to be something he couldn't be farther from. Clyde and Elsie Frost are 2 of the nicest people you will ever meet and if you ever get a chance to meet them consider that a privilege. Jerome Davis (1972)- Jerome Davis is a man everybody should look up to. Jerome was born on August 10, 1972 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Only six months after his birth Jerome's family moved to Archdale, NC where Jerome is still living today. Jerome won his first belt buckle when he was a freshman in high school. This was the first of many. He started riding bulls at the age of eleven. After his first bull Jerome knew that he wanted to be a bull rider. In 1995 Jerome won the PRCA world championship. What Jerome had dreamed about since he was eleven years old had became a reality. In 1998 Jerome was awarded the PBR ring of honor. On March 14, 1998 something happened that no bull rider ever thinks will happen to them. Jerome did not think he was going to make the bull riding that Friday night. Getting there just in time Jerome put his bullrope on a bull named Knock em Out John. Jerome was riding the bull good but the bull jumped forward and got Jerome on the end of his arm. Jerking him down and hitting him in the face resulted in Jerome getting knocked out. When he was knocked out he dove head first into the ground. Breaking his neck Jerome was paralyzed from the chest down. Jerome being the type of guy to never give up, is still involved with the sport of bull riding today. Owning multiple great bucking bulls and putting on great rodeo events and helping anybody who needs help with riding bulls. Jerome being a Christian man puts on a Christian Junior Rodeo every year at his arena in Archdale. This rodeo attracts kids from all over the country. This rodeo is called "He Paid Your Fees." Gate admission is only two cans of food per person, and if you are a contestant there are no fees to enter the rodeo. Your fees for the rodeo is to attend the church service before the rodeo. If you are a contestant and you are caught not attending the church service you will be disqualified. Jerome also holds a bull riding school every year for anybody who would like to improve there bullriding skills or just simply start your bullriding career. I have attended this school and it was great. Being around Jerome Davis is always great. I have never met anyone that said they did not love Jerome. I don't see how anyone couldn't love him. He is a great roll model for ANYBODY. Not for just people who rides bulls. He is a great person for you to strive to be like in life, with his no quit attitude, and always being willing to help anybody that needs it. Most people would feel sorry for themself after an accident like Jeromes but not Jerome Davis. Jeromes no quit attitude and his christian testimony has motivated me to be a better bull rider and person. Jerome is one of the best men you will ever meet, and I can speak for myself and a good bit of the bull riders in NC ! Jerome Davis is my hero.
